The chakra of creativity.

Did you know that your sacral chakra is the chakra of creativity?

The 2nd chakra is located below the navel in the lower abdomen. It is the centre of reproduction, creativity, movement, passion and emotion.

When balanced, we feel connected to ourselves and others. Our creative energy flows freely and abundantly and our sexual appetite is healthy. When it isn't, we feel disconnected from our body or emotions, unable to express ourselves creatively, sexually and even emotionally.

There are many ways to keep this chakra healthy, but one of the easiest ones for me is:

  1. Focus on your lower belly. You can place your hands on top of it if that helps.

  2. Send your breath to this area. When you inhale, imagine how the energy starts flowing there, and when you exhale, release stagnant energy.

  3. If you're okay with some awkwardness, you can sing the mantra Om Vam (pronounced Vum). Vam is the seed mantra for this chakra.

  4. Swirl or move your lower belly, focusing on engaging and releasing your lower abdominal muscles. You can also try doing some kegels to stir and release some energy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    5. While you do all this, fill that area with love and be grateful for being able to heal yourself without the need to go to a therapist. You can totally do this alone.

You could also play some sacral chakra healing music (there's a ton online), cook, sing, play an instrument, paint something (even if it's your nails), dance and well... have awesome s*x (with a partner or no partner works) that makes you feel energize and fulfilled.

It's important to keep this chakra healthy because it might have an effect on your body, like your kidneys, digestive system, reproductive organs, urinary system, etc. So if you're not feeling okay over there, might be a sign that you need some extra love in this chakra. Trust me, after many doctors not being able to diagnose what was wrong with me over there, the only way I could help myself get better was this. So I hope it helps you too.

Mindfully,
Sam.
